License agreement
Version of 16 October 2026. Draft: this text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
This agreement is between you and Daniel Filković, a private person, Drenje Šćitarjevsko 24, 10410 Velika Gorica, Croatia ("the licensor"). By registering an account you accept it. It covers the program AirFrame, the solvers Afeme and Apame, the mesh builder and their programming interfaces ("the software"). During its alpha the software is free of charge: no license is sold.
1. What you may do
The licensor gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the software on your computers, within the limits of the type of your license and of its units, for as long as the license is valid.
Every license includes every function of the software. A license is limited only by its units, which bound how many tasks can hold a solver at the same time, and by its period of validity. Opening, viewing and saving projects does not need a valid license.
2. Types of license
- Trial: for evaluating the software, also by a company. Not for work that is paid for or delivered to a customer.
- Academic: for teaching, study and research at an educational or research institution, by its students and staff, where the results are not produced for a commercial customer.
- Non-commercial: for personal projects from which neither you nor anyone else earns money.
- Development: given by the licensor to people who help develop or test the software, for that purpose.
A commercial license, for work for an employer, for customers or for profit, is not offered yet. Use beyond what the type of your license allows is not covered by this agreement.
3. Your account
The software is used with an account. You give true details when registering, keep your password to yourself, and are responsible for what is done with your account. One account is for one person. An account can be closed by you at any time on the web page, and by the licensor if this agreement is broken.
4. How the software marks its output
Files exported from the software and result files of the solvers carry a line with the name and company of the registered user and the type of the license. With a trial, academic or non-commercial license the same is shown in the views of the program, and so in pictures taken of them. You agree not to remove or alter these marks. Output marked with a license type may only be used for what that type allows.
5. What the software reports
To grant licenses the software contacts the licensor's server when a task is run or a file is exported, and reports the type of analysis, its run time, the size of the model, whether it ended with an error, and the processor, operating system and memory of the computer. Your models and results are not sent. The details are on the page What we store about you.
6. What you may not do
- Pass the software, your account or your license on to others, or rent or sell them.
- Get around the licensing, the units or the marks described above.
- Take the software apart or translate it back into source code, except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement.
- Use the software to build a competing product from its internals.
7. Ownership
The software belongs to the licensor and is protected by copyright. This agreement gives you a right to use it, not ownership of it. Your models, projects and results belong to you.
8. State of the software and your responsibility for results
The software is under development and is provided as it is. It is a tool for conceptual design. Its results depend on the model and the assumptions you give it, and it can contain errors. You are responsible for checking results before relying on them, and for independent verification wherever safety, certification or other serious consequences depend on them. The software is not approved for showing compliance with airworthiness or other regulations.
9. Warranty and liability
The software is given free of charge. As far as the law allows, the licensor gives no warranty that it is free of errors, fit for a particular purpose or available without interruption, and is not liable for any damage arising from its use, direct or indirect, including lost profit or lost data. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence.
10. Duration and end
The agreement lasts as long as you have an account. A license ends on the date shown on your account page. If you break this agreement the licensor may end your license and close your account. When a license ends you may keep your projects and results and open them with the software.
11. Changes
The licensor may change this agreement. Registered users are told by e-mail before a change takes effect; if you do not agree with it, you can close your account.
12. Law and courts
This agreement is governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. Disputes are decided by the courts competent for Velika Gorica, Croatia. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence remain in force.
